Talent development & skills

Together building the future of semiconductor talent in the Netherlands.

The semiconductor industry is growing explosively, and with it the demand for talent. The Netherlands wants to maintain and strengthen its leading position, but thousands of additional professionals are needed for that: from chip designers and process operators to software developers and HR advisors.

The ChipNL Competence Centre (ChipNL CC) brings together national and regional initiatives and connects them with European programmes. We help companies, educational institutions, talent and policymakers navigate a fragmented landscape. In doing so, we ensure that the Netherlands is not only the place where chips are made, but also where talent feels at home and can grow.

Our approach in three pillars

National talent proposition
One shared story and international branding that puts the Netherlands on the map as an attractive place for semiconductor talent.

Soft landing & binding
ChipNL CC strengthens existing initiatives that improve the reception and retention of international talent. We share knowledge and best practices across regions, bring partners together, and provide an overview of the landscape of talent programs. In this way we help companies, knowledge institutions, and regional networks better welcome and retain talent.

Community ecosystem
A Talent Hub where supply and demand meet, linked to traineeships, summer schools, learning communities and skills monitoring.
